I've snow holed in the Cairngorms once. It was only about zero degress in the hole so it wasn't too cold but the roof did drip quite a bit. I had a bivi bag so my sleeping bag was ok. Using a Karrimat under the Thermarest worked well for me.
Hi,
I've got a Thermarest Prolite 3 Regular that needs a new home. It's never been out of the house so it's in brand new condition. Here's a couple of links in case you're not familiar with these mats:

The good news is that there is a company still producing high quality down equipment: http://www.phdesigns.co.uk
They don't make eVent waterproofs though.
I'll second what bigbear said. Since Rab Carrington sold the company to Equip, most of the manufacturing has gone to China and there's been a number of comments on UKClimbing about problems with stuff. I haven't heard too many comments about their eVent jackets though and my Rab Latok Alpine...
They look interesting and I can follow the instructions to build them. I just can't work out how they're used! Do you stick it beside a fire or shove some coals in it or what?
Hi Rich,
THANKS! Stuff arrive today just fine. Thanks for the extra pair of trousers! Expected three but thanks for the extra pair of olive ones. I've got a 100cm Norgie but it's a bit loose on me so I reckoned 92s would fit fine and they do. I'll give the 100 to a friend.
Thanks again...
Just checked the spec, is it really 3kgs? I'll stick with my down bag and a Rab bivvy bag but if you had to go synthetic then Snugpak are certainly a good brand.
