Agreed. That particular pattern of knife is designed and used primarily as a deer stalking knife, perfect for early morning or dusk grallochs.

More glowing goodness. The knife is a Portland90, SF100 blade steel, green canvas Micarta scales and a new to me material for the liners, TurboGlow in neon green colourway. In the daytime. And in my cellar.

Absolute Zero, blue G10 scales with blue liners, by day... ... and the liners by night.

If we are talking table cutlery, my own first thoughts are that you might struggle. I don't think the hardness of the blade would be up to serious woodwork, but more than that, maybe the steel wouldn't be thick enough to apply the type of edge to it that would be preferable to carve wood...
