depending on age of your child and how well they taking instruction . i wouldnt see a problem with wild camping my two girls are 5 and 8 never had a problem wild camping . id check out where best to take them first check out a good site and make sure the weather will be reasonable .
Its fine i wouldn't paint any cooking surfaces though. I paint my barbecue and tent stove with it but make sure you fire it up before you use it for real as it will give off toxic fumes when first heated . After that its fine
Some rubbish Littering is accidental ie a bottle dropping out the webbing on a pack sweet rappers blown away when you get somthing out of a pocket ! But to pick your dogs SH<T up in a bag then leave it near a gate or on a tree stump is just incredible . I love dogs but not the mess they leave so...
from personal experience id go for to nesting pans or if your on your own a billy and a steel mug the mug will do for a brew if the billy's got food in . Me and my wife cycled to India . We just used a 2litre and 1litre nesting pan set MSR stove and fires where possible .
Does any one use a bill hook in stead of an axe . Ive used a vintage double sided bill hook for years and to be honest if i had to choose one tool to take with me it would be a bill hook
It's only a hobby to most so just be comfortable but if your going Bush (Walk about) know you need very little because the knowledge you need has been learnt in the comfort of a wood near to a road not to far from your comfy home
No Bushcraft lots of out door activaties camping walking cycling motorcycling. Dad tried growing veg in our garden but the then draught hit 76 then it flooded so gave it over to us kids . So to den building fire lighting etc fantastic play ground . ive never lost the love for the out door life ...
my dad did it a few years ago . exspect the worst weather . he did it easter and got rain snow highwinds and fantastic glorious sunshine . If i remeber right he took 7days but he was in no hurry . I'll have a word with him find out more .

Hi . Weve just bought a soulpad 5000tribe tipi the build quallity is top notch . so id say there bell tent are just as good . the tribe has a sewn in ground sheet . not sure about the bell tents but id get 1 with sewn in ground sheet if your doing the festivals . it not allways possible to get...
Trangia have there own version out now my dad just bought one £85 ish . looks good to I'll let you know if its ant good . I wish i could have adapted my MSR to fit a trangia the wind shield is the only fault with the MSR .

Hi all . just looking for advice regards heatshielding where the chimney exits my tipi . Has any body used exaust tape or would i be better making a stainless steel heat shield .
