    The Covid19 Thread

I didn't see that WHO explicit denial, seems ridiculous to me but hey what do I know... I thought they may have just 'de-emphasized it' :) And I know you know that water vapour is just little droplets of water as opposed to big bogeys. As for floating around for many days, this is unlikely as...

    The Covid19 Thread

I managed 4 minutes before I got fed up and had to get back to work, apologies if it's another point you are trying to make. This is true for all cold, flu and I'm sure a lot of other virus and shouldn't be a surprise for anyone. However the vast majority of the risk is from coming in...

Compared to the crap we used to pump into the atmosphere and rivers, we have come a fair way, not that there isn't still a load we need to do!

    The Covid19 Thread

No we absolutely can't. Couple of years ago it was our joint 50ths and our silver wedding anniversary and we'd saved up and splashed out big time on a 'holiday of a lifetime' I woke up about 6am on my 50th and wandered out onto our balcony to have a bit of a contemplation about getting to 50...

SARS and COVID are not the same, SARS is deadlier but less easily spread in the community, mainly down to viral shedding only occurring after the patient was quite ill. That's why the SARS lock down was more effective in ending it quickly. Either way drastic measures are required to...

    The old Britishblades forum

Never did hear what happened to Martyn, I understood he was ill and so, understandably, it ceased to be important to him. Hope it turned out ok for him. Sad that he wasn't able to hand the reins over, as you say there was a lot of amazing stuff on there.

Ooft that is some eating! I (used to) go out to NC a lot and some of their bbq stuff is amazing, quite hard to find though. One of the guys I work with goes on about the different types of bbq... kinda lost on me but I guess like the characteristics of different malts, you need to be into it!

Are the Lakes open from Wednesday or not?

I respectfully disagree, England is a bit further down the curve than Scotland is so it doesn't make sense for Scotland to release too early or indeed for England to hold back when they are ready to release. I personally don't agree with the new England rules, they are illogically and fatally...

    RIP Dave Greenfield.

Stranglers was one of the first concerts I ever went to, Glasgow Apollo early 80's always loved them and had booked to see them again when they were back up here in November. Hopefully will still go ahead but definitely wont be the same without him. Sad loss, he was a very talented guy. My...

Nice read and it's a nice process to share. Looks like it's coming on fine and the finished article should be great! I do love a CBK and think they're quite underrated. I use mine far more than I use my woodlore pattern and the bottom one in the pic below is my go to knife now. For camp use...
