Most hard wearing and Long lasting clothing you own ( and the shortest before thrown)

Klättermusen Gere pants. Indestructible. Have made changes so they fit outside a pair of downhill boots. So I use them for everything. From summer hiking to winter downhill skiing. Not quite windproof but enough. Maybe not for the hottest days.

Cheapest, warmest, most waterproof mainstream jacket available?

I would surf around for sales, there is always great prices to find if you're don't have a more specific requirement than that. Sportpursuit.com have a lot of insulated jackets on sale all the time. This is their ski jackets https://www.sportpursuit.com/skiing?type=Jackor

Fjallraven granit shirt & keb trousers

Also mosquitos bite through the stretch panels. That's not nice in some parts of Sweden where I live. But I find it harder and harder to find decent polycotton pants without stretch panels. My go to pants right now are Klättermusen Gere, but they are a bit warm in mid summer and are not...

    Ventile "SAS" style jacket

I'm not that excited over the lower pockets. If you're carrying a backpack the waist belt will be over those pockets. The breast pockets are not very easy access with that construction. I would go with a Napoleon style side entry pocket with a zipper. And double layer in shoulders and elbows...

    Wax/oil based boot waterproofing

I use Obenauf Heavy Duty leather protection. Or Fibertec Shoe Wax Or something called Tip-Top leather balsam containing coconut fat, bees wax and lanolin oil. The Tip-Top stuff is really Tip-Top.

Hanwag Grünten. No membrane, light and goodyear welted so the sole is replaceable. http://www.hanwag.com/grunten

    advice please

In January, depending where in Sweden you're going the weather can differ a lot. In the South it can be open golf courses in January if it's a mild winter, probably not though. In mid Sweden where I live (Sundsvall) it can go from minus 3-4C down to minus 20-25C in worst case. I don't recommend...

    New boots

Hanwag Grünten is my suggestion. No membrane, pretty light and sewn on soles that makes them replaceable. Just keep em greased up and change sole when needed and they will last you 15 years. http://www.hanwag.com/grunten#details

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Cotton isn't very tough in my opinion. Polycotton is tougher. Fjällräven may have some double layer waxable jackets. But I would still look for a reinforced synthetic membrane jacket. For example Klättermusen or Arctyrex. Maybe this one. https://www.klattermusen.com/women/brede-jacket-ws-ebony...

    G1000 and hem tape

I have two pairs. One in a model called Singi, with double fabric in the knees, drawstring behind the knees, ventilation on the thighs and pocket for knee pads. My go to pants for the outdoors together with my Klättermusen Gere. Great pants. But I also have a pair called Kiruna in black. Almost...

I'm considering Vivobarefoot trail freak when not carrying too heavy load. Else I have a pair of leather no membrane Altberg low shoes.

2 years without a mobile phone Bliss

I never ever use a computer outside of work. I do everything on my phone. Don't have a clue how to find this forum in a browser. Just found it via tapatalk, the forum app where I handle all my different forum talks. What's better with sitting by a desk reading and writing this than doing it...

    New boot advice please.

I have a pair of Hanwag Grünten that I am very happy with. They are leather inside and out. No goretex that only breaks before the boot does anyway and Goodyear welted sole which makes it replaceable when it's worn down. Finally they are much lighter than my old Meindls...

    Good boots for wet weather?

If you like Lundhags, try the small Swedish bootmaker Jörnkängan. Same construction as Lundhags but more durable and lighter. http://www.allmogejakt.se/mobile/product.html/jornkanga-m96?category_id=6
