A little about the markings you see above.
I don't intend to engrave my usual blade mark on these; I don't think it suits. The blades will get the usual FS markings, but they probably do want a reference to the maker too.
So, as above, I plan (for now anyway) to place a simple SM along with the serial number of each knife on the guards.
I had the SM stamp you see above made in around 1985; at that time, although working alongside my dad at Pat Mitchell (Cutlers), I was dabbling in my first 'sole authorship' work too, so that SM was also struck into Pat Mitchell knives that I had made by myself.
There will be a few around, jointly marked, not many though, as I never really got on with the mark itself; I don't think I liked the circle.
It seems that I still don't...

oooh.. I do like a bit of Knurling; one of my favourite tasks on the lathes on the apprentice bay

I do. I just made one, actually- one of the 'auxiliary tools' from the OSS Fair Sword outfit.
What steel have you used on the FS?
Look what’s on my bench today. A couple are missing as they’re a bit battered. The one on the top left was made around 2006. Can’t believe it 20 years ago. It was my favourite until 2010 and it then got retired the handle used to be pure white on that.
You went with the newer logo then. Are you going to stick a broad arrow on there too? Or is that something you don’t want to touch?
