@Ozmundo
On the ethics front who was held responsible when robot cars have crashed?
That's actually a common fix. The pads are under such immense pressure that braking isn't affected. There are high temp greases specifically for this.recommending putting grease on brake pads to stop them squealing
Depends which side of the pads the AI recommends you grease, doesn’t it? A proportion of those needy enough to use AI for vehicle maintenance are likely to blindly follow whatever it suggests.That's actually a common fix. Bit of light oil sprayed onto squeaky belts also works well.
I wouldn’t know, I apply to pads and discs, sparingly.Depends which side of the pads the AI recommends you grease, doesn’t it?
Exactly my point. Never anywhere near the disk itself in any circumstances.Just for clarity, in case anyone is confused, grease is applied between the calliper piston and the back of the pad (i.e. the metal plate) NOT the friction surface that touched the brake disk. You can buy specific brake grease to do this and it is very effective.
