Proper Bambis in Petworth Park at the moment, I will take some pics. The new mothers are getting confused by my long legged Jack Russell and twice have come within about 15’ to see that their ‘foal’ is ok before realising and bounding off.female red deer. 20ft away. Park Deer will undoubtedly be Fallow, the mothers will a “Doe” the young are “Fawns” I do apologise for being pedantic, I am quite into Deer. Have also found a Kingfisher nest site in a low sandy cliff at a stream I visit. Definitely some twittering from one of the holes.

New twist on “ Fly Fishing”Not everyone's cup of tea but I picked up and released several dark giant horse flies over the last few days. I find 1 inch long flies quite fun to see and easy to gently catch and release.
