I’m not belittling the effects of rural crime and lack of police - there are none in towns either!

I just don’t see a connection between increased access for walkers and/or cyclists and increased fly tipping and supposed rural mugging etc.

Try talking to some land owners, some might be receptive to opening up their land some might provide you with real examples of their concerns. If you replace a stile with a gate do you not see you will open it up to motorbikes? You'll also likely to increase dog usage and fouling.

I have never seen a motorbike on a bridleway illegally so I suspect it depends where the location is.

It’s not my job to talk to anyone - I’ll continue to support the organisations that lobby and campaign for change, like Sustrans and the like.
