Well I found a manky axe in the local woods a week or so ago and I thought id clean it up and re-handle it, I'm not that familiar with axes I've been using my Martindale golok for any chopping so this is the first time I've re-handled one and I'm quite pleased with the result it feels great...

    Just found myself an axe

Yep seems Elwell's are good axes What handle length do you think will match the head weight? im after a backpacking axe so if it would not be too heavy on say a 16"-20" handle then perfect no need to buy another axe, what do you guys think?

Ive just found this while out in the local woods, it had clearly been sitting there for a while, its a bit beat up but the actual head seems ok, the only markings on the head are "Elwell 2 1/4" and it also has stamped "2 1/4" on the top as well, I had to clean it up with a wire brush to be able...

Anyone own and good with a welder

I need someone to do a bit of unusual welding for me, I have a British army survival knife or MOD survival knife whatever you want to call it anyway the guard is welded on and somehow one of the welds has broke so I just need someone to re weld it, anyone fancy doing it for me obviously ill pay...
