Lousewort tends to be found on heathland areas/acidic soils. It grows on the ground and is normally just a single plant about an inch high.

If it is the same place it is amongst lots of Norwegian Spruce. The sap daubed on firesticks does well.

We did this on the Woodsmoke woodlander course, it was great, the best thing was we were next to a clean and cold tarn that we jumped into after. This was like getting high in a completely new way ;) , my skin was ecstatic. I would recommend it!
