    Canvas bucket shower........

Feredays safari equipment in Harare, Zimbabwe stock this kind of stuff...Southern Africa in general is the home of "how to camp in style..." My boss in Africa once told me that ..."any old fool can be uncomfortable in the bush..." :) Marko

Recommendation for outer wear for a week in Finland in December?

At minus 20 degrees or more, it is very likely that your extremities are prone to freezing...As a rule of thumb, remember the layering principle: thermals, midlayer, perhaps something in between and then the shell/padded stuff :) I recommend buying a buff and wearing mittens...five finger...

    O rings for SA trangia?

After almost 20 years of using a Trangia, I would strongly recommend always transporting the burner in "dry mode" :) Marko

    Finland in September

Depends on where you are going and also on the weather... Generally speaking, mozzies shoudn`t be a problem...the louse/elk fly is increasingly common in the eastern and southern parts of Finland and may cause moments of discomfort :) The louse fly (hirvikärpänen in finnish) lands on humans...

    Hat whats in yours ?

Nowadays, I mostly use a buff...before it was baseball caps, bush hats, akubras and stetsons (not good when carrying a backpack...). Sometimes, an olive green beret...jacques cousteau-type woolen hats, hand-made felt hats (without brims...). Depends on the weather and mood... :) Marko

How do you carry belt kit when using a rucksack with a hipbelt?

IMO belt kits etc. cause droopy trousers and make you look an feel like a tourist... Keeping your blade on your person, lighter etc. in your pockets usually suffices...if not, then a shoulder bag is ok... Marko :)

    The perfect Bushcraft knife!

sheath-wise, the J.P.Peltonen Ranger knife is the most versatile I have ever bumped into...available left- or righthanded, can be hung from the belt, strapped horizontal, or hung upside down on a shoulder strap...and the knife (capable of making feathersticks or digging a trench...)is easily...

    Bushcraft Toiletries

Well, but he is a sergeant in the artillery, whereas I`m an officer in the special forces... :D Torjus, your aversion to toilet paper seems virtually perverse... :) It sounds more like something Piirka from Borreslaget would do? Marko :)

    Basha in German

Very funny! A friend of mine worked in germany as a bartender for the summer in the `90`s...people kept asking him why he didn`t have a moustache... :) this may have absolutely nothing to do with tarps....but it is friday night :) Marko

    Bushcraft Toiletries

:) Oh the joys of doing a dry/teflon poo...as opposed to a #12 which requires as many metres of bog roll to more or less tidy up the inflicted areas... :) A friend of mine once "held it in" in winter manouvres in the arctic whilst in the army for almost two weeks...he said it was too cold...
