What a superb job you've made. I'm really impressed with the detail of the embossing. Is this stamped in manualy with a punch.

A..ha.. Understand, I've started using the gorilla glue, the one for metal and wood.. Looks like syrup. There's another that is specific for wood also. I've found that it expands which makes for tight joint. I do like epoxy myself though, especially the rapid 10min stuff works really well. The...
Thanks ever so much for the kind replies, this was my second bowl, I made 4 in total and started to get the hang of what each tool did, I must say though that this was a little to big for the machine really and took quite a bit of effort to keep it concentric on the spindle ... To much weight...
Great work John, very neat and well presented. Colour looks really rich. Does this serve as an overstrike protection also. I haven't done much with an axe as yet but assume this to be the main purpose aswell as looking good also.

That's good advice thanks.. I'm trying different techniques at the moment and I had some spare time to use up, once I feel a little more confident in shapeing the wood I'll upgrade the quality and type of wood .
