    Recommend a parka

Swedish M90. Inexspensive, tough, essentially waterproof, large hood, rugged two way zip and massive pockets. I've worn one for work for many years. Incredible value for money. Recommended.

    1984 dated Berghaus Crusader 2

Thanks for the replies. I had a feeling it was cordura, in fact....I'd have had no doubt, if I hadn't read about the early canvas versions. Great stuff! Heh...I very pleased with it.

    1984 dated Berghaus Crusader 2

So....I'm usually fine with ID ing Cordura. However, in this instance I'm not certain, primarily because I'm not sure just what sort of canvas was used on the very early Crusaders. All replies gratefully received.

Hi chaps. I am a long time fairly quiet member, but have recently been dusting off my kit, and sharpening some old skills. In pursuit of this end, I recently brought a new (old) rucksack, for a tenner, from a militaria show. It was OG, had a Berghaus name patch, and a quick inspection seemed to...

I'm a head gardener at a big house.I have worked for the Forestry Commission, as a chainsawyer, the Defence Estate (MOD) as a woodman, and for the private sector. Is there really any need for camoflage?

Interesting thread. Ever since i was young, I have been interested in things which carry the Broad Arrow (or crows foot). As a young lad I had quite a few bits and pieces of kit,but most of it was pre-camo.....and most of it War dated. I was a cub,and a Scout.Back then we wore green shirts, and a...

    Who's about in Gloucestershire?

Why don't we organise a night at a pub somewhere,so we can get our group on the go? Bring along a favourite bit of kit,a project or just your ideas. What about 'Theocs house' in Tewkesbury?....Nice and quiet, parking at the rear. What about next week,say..the 9th or 10th at about 8pm.....
