Deer fat tastes terrible, use it for soap but don't try eating it. I have been hunting deer and doing my own butchering for years and the most time consuming part of the whole process is making sure I get every scrap of deer fat off the meat. Just my opinion, good luck.

In my humble opinion you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Coleman lantern. The company built their reputation on them. I have about 8 or 10 Coleman lanterns and I love the things.

Perhaps paint a collie that you find less objectionable. Maybe even paint it brown add some balck or another shade of brown to male a grain and give it a wood look.
