I have a couple of bits of kit to give to newbs when I pop in ... band to make a catapult, cigar tubes to hold tinder, my 1st clipper I got years ago that is bashed up but will do as a knife to practice sharpening techniques, and a whole bunch of char cloth. I'll throw them in my bergen and hand around to whoever wants when I come up for sunday morning brew.

I'll also hoy some bacon in the bag and make a few rounds of breakfast butties if anyones interested haha

I am stupid. Very, very stupid. I had the tarp delivered to the wrong address. That's soooo annoying.

Cheers Chris, I was planning on folding the tarp and using it as a ground sheet as well as a shelter. I bought a sleeping mat the other day and will be bringing a sleeping bag as well as the duvet. I need the duvet cause the sleeping bag is so thin. I also have a throw to use as a blanket, so I guess I'll be cosy enough.

Do you know what size the tarp is?

Mark, you should be fine with that lot, a fire by the tarp and you will be toasty.......lol......we can put some firn and twigs under the air mat and throw, should be enough to keep you warm from the floor then...

i think they are 3x3 metres, but dont quote me....ha ha ha ha ha.....

Rich, that would be good but not sure what we could do with it, we can give it a go though mate......

Stu, we could turn them into steel strikers if you like, we can also heat treat and temper on site too......

2 more sleeps.........lol....

please, please bring your cameras and cam corders type stuff, my camera is propper tonk.........lol....

the site i used last time has been "advised" against because of the flooding and bad weather, Steph said we could still use that site if we wanted, i said no as it will hepl preserve the wood, the area im now looking at will be through the gate hit the track and turn "LEFT"....... its on high ground, but its the other end to the brook, hey ho, we will just need to walk for water....lol....

the area is at the bottom of the map on the right, we can just have a look first when we get there, and take it from there though..........
