Blind Horse Knives Snap Knapp - Review

Ogri The fastener is a screw and easily removed when needed. In fact, I check it every now and again to make sure it remains snugged. Forest fella L.T. Wright is a recent member here, I'd suggest sending him a PM.

Blind Horse Knives Snap Knapp - Review

L.T. and Dan of Blind Horse Knives worked with JRE Industries to give their Small Tiger Knapp knife a unique twist on an old concept. The problem they're trying to solve is how to carry a small fixed blade in your pocket without having to fish for the sheath every time you want to resheath the...

Squaring the back side of a Mora for Firesteel

Best tip I have is to try the spine close to the tip of the knife. I've had decent luck throwing sparks there.

    Scandi grind folders?

Check out EKA knives. I believe several of their folders are scandis. On this side of the pond, one dealer is www.ragweedforge.com/eka-catalog.html, where you can at least get an idea of the catalog.

How to make the spine of a Clipper good for striking?

It's true that so long as there is a sharp edge, stainless will through sparks, though perhaps not as well as Carbon. One thing I was led to, say for a laminated steel Mora, strike the steel close to the tip of the knife. This produced better sparks for mine. YMMV.

    Bushcrafting in the US???

Hi Shaun For American sites, I'd give http://www.survival.com/IVB a try. It's a site run by Ron and Karen Hood. It has something for most people, but the main thrust is being able to survive and thrive in your environment. I see quite a bit of overlap on basic skillsets. Additionally...

    Cool F1 Kydex Setup

From the U.S knifekit.com website, under Kydex Supplies: Tek-Lok (Sheath Mounting System) The Tek-Lok is a great belt loop system that works on Kydex and Concealex belt sheaths or gun sheaths. This locking system allows the knife or gun to be carried in the Vertical or Horizontal...
