Anyway my mother said I could buy a knife (mora 511), but I have a problem, I have no way to pay online, PayPal is limited and for some reason my mother credit card can't be used online, is there anywhere I can buy a cheap knife in Llanelli? (Like what sort of shops would sell mora?)

an under 18 can legaly purchase a folding knife with a blade of 3" or less.

Admittedly it was quite some time ago (I'm knocking on forty now) but my mother bought me a Swiss Army Knife when I learned to read.
As far as I understand the law around knives it isn't illegal for you to own a knife under 18, it is illegal for a store or person to sell you a knife so they have to take all reasonable steps to ensure the person purchasing the knife is of the age, so you see the disclaimers like "By agreeing to these term and conditions you are stating that you are over 18 years of age" this then how ever tenuously covers them as the onus is then on the purchaser to be honest, I some one buys you a knife they aren't breaking any laws, as far as i understand it

There is an exemption for sub 3" slip joints (such as SAK) meaning there is actually no lower age limit for purchase.
My point was that being under 18, the OP is legally prohibited from purchasing a fixed blade, and it is entirely possible that his Father could commit an offence buy buying one for him, in a similar vein to someone buying cigarettes or alcohol for someone underage.

I'm a bit confused here with the UK's growing and sad laws on everything, can my father buy me a knife, or can I say, "Dad, can I have a Mora Clipper Knife for my bday", lol.
