Ok... not very survivalist or hardcore, but personally i need a half decent pillow to get any decent sleep and therefore enjoy my nights out! Bit fed up of resting my head on a rucksack and jumper and waking up with a sore neck.

The pillow needs to inflate or expand to a reasonable thickness, yet still pack down quite small and be fairly light.

What sort of pillows does everyone else use, if any??

cheers

A lot more expensive but these are nice and comfy. They are basically a half sized pillow and pack down nice and small. It's the perfect thing for me in my hammock :)

Lidls self inflating pillow for me, got it few years ago now. Ok so it's not got the smallest of pack sizes, but is much more comfortable than the inflatable (blow up) pillow it replaced.

I use a standard pillow case which i have sewn the side and ends seams to make it about 4" slimmer and 6" shorter. I gauged this by stuffing my jacket into the pillow case to ensure i would get a good plump fit. This gives a good lightweight packable option.

I have never got away with inflatable pillows, my head just feels 'balanced' on top of them and as i relax when falling asleep they tend to move.

Max
