Sorry Jonny, I may have come over rather more critical than intended. Nice idea, but with the internet a grid ref is no challenge at all.

Sais is from Saes, which is short for Saesneg, which is Welsh for the English. John and I are Welsh.

From an Entymolgy point of view doesn't Sais refer to a Saxon rather than an "Englishman" and has sort of come about to mean English by default. Strictly Asain or Afro-Caribbean English folk are not Sais nor a native Kernow spekaers or the English of Viking descent (ie Northerhumbrians - old Kingdom not county). Conversley Welsh of southern Englsih ie Saxon lands descent are Sais.

Sais = Saxon, a not wholly positive term usually applied to the English, which most of us southern English struggle to dispute as we are in part at least supposedly descended from the Saxon invaders.
