I've got 5 cats and I found it funny
That does not mean that everyone finds it funny, even though it obviously isn't real. I bet if it was done with a dog, people would find it harsh?

Well, I do have a sense of humour, but I don't find that funny. It's akin to those horrendous neck and limb irons that were used in Medieval times on humans.
I've never bought a cat, but I admit I fancy a Maine Coon

I dont want to excercise your brain cell too much, but i can think of a whole load of situations where this would not apply. it's not funny. It would be cruel. It's not real. Well, obviously as it's not hurting anything. Otherwise we should lynch all those people that dress up as Boba Fett because they wear Wookiee scalps.
The post and pic were well placed, it was made up and so funny. If it was serious then obviously it would be inappropriate, but is was so obviously not. Even if you didn't find it funny, you could hardly call it offensive.

By the way I like all animals, including cats. Probably roasted slowly in their own juices with vegetables of the season and a honey glaze, but hey ! No one's PURRRRRfect Have I been bad again

There are, i believe, around 7.5 million cats in britain.
For the sake of argument lets say that one in ten of them catch one bird per week (it could be a lot more or less, this is only a guess!).
That would mean 39 million wild birds killed each year by domestic cats.
Still not tooo upset about a few birds?

It's a hell of a lot of birds, and then you must think of the impact on other species that rely on birds as a food source and the adult birds taken that had young to feed. The numbers then increase significantly.
