Hang on in there guy's... true about the lack of forest round here though! To much sodding farmland. Guess I've been spoilt for choice growing up between Epping Forest and Hertfordshire!!

Nothing my way either. I am in talks with a local smallholder that has a nice big bit of woodland though, so you never know.

. Permission was politely and reluctantly declined.
The reason? Nothing to do with BcUK (or bushcrafters in general), unfortunately they've had problems with some groups turning up ad hoc and they felt forced to decline bookings from outside organisations.

Ive got a wood sorted out for myself but Im going to see the farmer tomorrow and have a chat with him about arranging some meets. Looks promising though.
