Hope it is the Northern Wilderness thingy. Be good to see Ray do something other than Australia and Africa all the blinking time.

This is good news. Everyone needs to get ready for a serious case of longing for Canada (a beautiful country and a great people...)

I hope BBC America carries it although I don't hold out much hope for it. I don't believe they've carried any of the eariler Mears shows.

I've put it up in the calendar (forum's frontpage) for the next 6 weeks ... Don't know if it will be 6 weeks, but most series are ... or atleast 6 ... maybe 8 ... :D
If anyone knows the score, drop me a line and I'll edit the calendar.

Thanks Rich. Should be a return to form if the book is anything to go by. Don't know about anyone else but I have been disappointed with the last two series.

I would have thought you'll be able to view it on the BBC IPlayer, after it's been aired each week.

BBC iplayer is only available in the Uk sadly.

That's right and it's a source of regular frustration for me.

I assume that the thinking goes something like "well, they don't pay taxes to support us overseas so they can't use iplayer..." But that strikes me a slender excuse.

David, do you know if there is other reasoning behind this ban?

It's a copyright issue, they haven't negotiated the rights to show the programmes on iplayer outside the UK. May happen at some stage I suppose, but the BBCs remit is to supply content to the UK so they probably couldn't justify the considerable expense of the extra rights.
