The White Hare - Seth Lakeman

I bought 'poor man's heaven' a few months back WW, I loved it, and went out and bought the other 3 albums by Seth Lakeman.
Excellent stuff all 4 albums. I have to agree with you on the track 'the white hare' a lovely tune and lyrics. I'm from Devon originally so makes me feel 'connected' :)
Try listening to his music on a cold, wet, stormy night. Light your candle lantern, turn the lights off, and crack open a bottle of your favourite tipple, and listen and let your imagination run riot.......... Magic!!
Love it mate. Beautiful tunes that help remind me the world is still sane..............sometimes.

I'm currently into "The Imagined Village" but I've got some Zep on at the moment.

Hey Gary, I'd be very dissapointed if you didn't like 'The Raven' or 'Longships' by the Stranglers. Both on 'The Raven' album. :)
'The Raven' especially is a great track

Now't wrong with Zep mate. Original British Rock.

I've sung round a camp fire with one of the Stranglers, nice guy but I can't remember his name though.

Haven't heard those tracks but I like a fair bit of their stuff.

Wow, sung around the campfire with one of the Stranglers. Cool stuff. There's not many who could claim that. Fantastic.
The album to be honest is a bit of an acquired taste but the 2 tracks I mentioned are sort of Viking..ish orientated.
The Stranglers are like marmite.....you know the routine.
PM me your address if you like and I'll send you the album..........not copied on my PC from my copy of the album of course, but a bought copy.............before the copyright law afficianados start. :D ..........ahhhemmm.

Nothing beats greeting the sun with a big ol' hands-in-the-air techno anthem when you're in the open air... something like "Elysium" by Scott Brown or the "Pirates" tune by Tiesto :)

Not really conducive to Bushcraft though... 2000 sweaty ravers tend to frighten away the wildlife!

If I were on my own in the woods, something by Vaughan Williams would hit the spot: "Fantasia on a theme by Tallis" or "Pastoral Symphony" maybe.

'alles hadt ein ende, nur die wurst hadt zwei'....yawoll mein schatzt es ist vorbei.

Song we used to sing in the army when I was in Germany (west at the time) when we were on the raz.

Translated it means..............everything has an end...........................but the sausage has 2..... yes my darling.... it's over.

(you needed to be there. :D)

Good Grief where do you start.

It would depend on a lot of things, would it be classical, rock, new wave or what, but here goes.

Barbers adagio for strings

Vide cor meum (the Opera scene from Hannibal)

Wagner Die Walkure

Moonlight sonata

Or

Just about anything by Pink Floyd, but especially Shine on… or Keep talking.

Rammstien, Fire Fire:headbang:

The Disturbed, Down with the sickness:headbang: :headbang:

Or

Mike Oldfield again just about anything but especially Sunjammer, Tubular Bells 3 the man in the clouds.

Even Terry Oldfield (Mikes brother) Wings of the Morning.

But if I brought my iPod, I could have all of the above and just about anything anyone has mentioned so far too…including the wild morning, SimonM just mentioned.

Even a bit of Ozric Tentacles… ….WHO??

Far out man.:240:
