hiya guys just a quick question on bushmoot.
one can u use a tarp and hammock

also what do u do about firewood because am comming on the train, so cant bring any and herd that you can bring your own and its advisable due amout of people there.

No problem with hammock and tarp, and there should be enough wood about for small controlled fires. I've been there via train and have a number for a local taxi guy who took me from the station to site, PM me if you want the number

Tarp and hammock recommended. We went last year and it's ideal for that (one or two tree's). There's usually plenty of wood. We went a little further out from the central communal area and there were log piles and plenty of wrist thick branches that had been removed already all over the place. I cannot see it being any different this year.

If you are concerned about sustainability (which should'nt be an issue) you could always pop into Bridgend and get a bag of wood from a number of places, but there really should'nt be any need. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's a pity i'm missing this years Moot as i'm expecting a delivery on the 26th July!

Don't be put off by the LRP pic's in the Gallery (Stargate), it's a great place with plentiful woodland to explore, buildings, tracks and easy access to the best sand dunes i've ever been to. Take a wander over then (or round if not that fit) and take in the scenery of Ogmore-By-Sea and, gawd luvaduck, you can see England if you feel homesick, albeit Somerset and Devon.

The above link has directions as well so you should be able to find it OK. I've heard tell that Canadians have been known to hang around the area sometimes!

I hope I'm able to go. I have a question - whats the youngest age recommendation for children, or isn't there any? You see, my cousin had wanted to go, but she has the slight problem that she is giving birth tommorrow. Lugging babies round on hikes and camps never caused her any problem before but I understand an organised event might have regulations.

I'm reliably informed that the site is big enough that there will be more than enough space for all....and I know that there will be a few babies there: Tony's youngest will only be months old.
