I've been casually watching this particular knife (number 16 of 250 apparently) and it's now the third or forth time it's been listed and on each previous occasion the sale hasn't been completed. The first time it was up for sale it sold and was back on again with the same seller the next day!

Actually, its possible there is something fishy. There was a thread on BB some while back about some fake RM knives being up for sale.

As for the knives being faked or the pictures....I'm not going there, and its probably best none of us does

That was a hoax, and the culprit was dealt with on BB, so lets not go spreading that particular story any further.
There are many far better knives to spend that kind of money on. In a serious moment of weakness I was severely tempted to spend about $2000 on a totally useless fighting bowie by Rob Patton,
something like this but with a different handle...blade made of minigun barrel damascus and the handle was F-16 wing panel carbon fibre

I bought one very similar recently to replace a lost one which i paid £20 for 15 years ago.
Very similar indeed, has a handle a blade and can be resharpend when blunt.
This one also cost £20 quid.
If you like it buy it if you dont, buy sommat else...............
