Could you confirm the ingredients Toddy? The online listing suggests it's just 3% mushroom, but surely it can't be to be able to be called mushroom seasoning!

"Salt, Maltodextrin, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Shiitake Powder 2%, Flavour Enhancers (Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate), Flavouring, White Button Mushroom Powder 1%"

Oh unless it means it's to season mushrooms with, and not it's a seasoning made from mushrooms.

This looks interesting, might give it a go.

I have a sort of ‘perpetual stew’ situation with dried and powdered mushrooms. I pick up reduced packs of mixed fresh or dried mushrooms and add them to my foraged ‘mixed’ powdered and dehydrated mushrooms where all the non-premium harvest goes, and use it as stock powder or rehydrate it for pasta and risottos and things.

I've just picked up some bags of reduced sliced mushrooms, which are in my dehydrator now. They have been in for several hours and still seem bendy, rather than crisp. ie, they don't snap, I want to do some mushroom powder, how snappy do they need to be? Is a bit of bendyness OK.? I don't want them to go mouldy. I store dried veg in glass jars.
Just done 3 bags of fresh carrots, though thicker and par boiled, they seem to have crisped up nicely. As has the two bags of frozen peas. I expected the shrooms to be ready before the carrots to be honest.
Dehydrating at 65°
