We are too tolerant of this sort of thing here.
I wont tell you what our back lane smells like.

Oh, I though s**t bags grew on trees!
As for litter @TeeDee I'm with you. We live down a single track road with a few passing places. One of those pacing places has a spectacular view down the valley. Someone parks there and eats their lunch on a regular basis and just dumps the packaging and cans out of the window. They clearly appreciate the view but think it's OK to trash the place!
However, until we stop the farmers leaving silage bags, feed bags, rusting vehicles, old tyres, and the rest all over the countryside, I can't see how we can persuade the visitors not to drop their litter![]()
How can they train a dog when they are incapable of training themselves?I've said it before, but I think it's worth reiterating.....service dogs relieve themselves in a regular routine, some (guide dogs) with a specific word or command....they're healthy, they're happy, they are just taught to go when it's in an appropriate place....not on a public footpath or park or someone else's garden.
Why don't other dog owners train their dogs properly ?
After all, if we can train children to 'go before you leave', why don't more folks train their dogs ?
This happened to us! We bought a small piece of land, fenced it off and started clearing/ tidying the land (yes, lots of dog poo & poo bags). Some people started complaining (not to the council, just around the village) that they used to walk their dogs through there. Now people throw their dog poo bags over onto the land.My friend installed stock fencing along side the footpath that runs down the side of his field.
People complained to the council because they had always had the run of it for walking their dogs. Many had left **** everywhere. Once the fence was up some of those who did bag it threw it into the field or hung it on the style. I thought that took special effort to be disgusting.
Is it possible that the chip can monitor bowel movements, and then upload the GPS data to a website? Find a poo, take a phot on your phone with GPS coordinates enabled, upload the photo, automatic fine sent to dog owner. How about this: Legal requirement for dogs to be microchipped and DNA profiled (this costs about £40) which is matched to the microchip details. Then if dog poo is left, a swab gets sent off by a dog warden and the offending dog owner gets a fine in the post (which covers the cost of running the matching DNA test + a punitive fine).

In my teens I lived in a town in Yorkshire - quite frankly the pavements were disgusting. I was a big roller skater, let's just say my slalom techniques were perfected![]()
We bought a trail cam but the project went on hold so we didn't get around to putting it upTrail camera
Here we have posters on bus stops about Dumb Dumpers....
Don't get me started on parking! It's not just dog poo, parking is also an issue. Yesterday..and this has happened many times with similar response.. I was accompanying a lady who uses a mobility wagon. As we got into town, there is an area near the supermarket that has double yellow lines, a dropped curb and a white line. So no parking at all allowed. A car(porche) drove up when we were halfway across the road, and inserted themselves into this spot, preventing the lady from being able to get up on the curb to be able to access the supermarket. I approached the driver, and explained that they were not allowed to park there and that they were leaving a vunerable person in the road with no access to the pavement. The reaction was.."so what?"
After further attempts to get him to move, , several insults and total rudeness, I waa called a moron.
This was a rather well off, older person..not local, who decided he had priority over a disabled lady, and felt that it was alright to insult someone asking them politely to park correctly and allow disabled acess., so I photographed his car and numberplate and have sent it to the local parking warden. That's when I got called a moron.
My reply was,
I'm afraid sir, you have got your name muddled up with mine.!
We often get people " come down for the shoot" who seem to think they are better than the locals, and treat them with contempt. Not all, I'll admit. Disgusting entitled attitude.
Makes my blood boil!
