Glad to see you have a couple of washers in your wallet, you never know when an o ring might fail
Ah, that’s what those are. I was kind of admiring the guy’s confidence and enthusiasm on a weekend ;)

That’s one of Sonni’s little wallets isn’t it?

Thanks kindly!

A shame it’s discontinued. The other copper AAA torch I like is also long discontinued and I love the aesthetic.
Edoluc make a nice torch.

Then there’s Reylight:

And Prometheus:

See you on a street corner one day, begging spare change… :lmao:

Disposing of my old sofas meant that I found my Farmer X Alox, wedged down the side of it, after a month of searching. Even though I swear I checked there twice already. I think it waited until my new, replacement one had arrived. So I suppose I now have Farmers Xes Alox…es. Dual wielding a Swiss Army Knife probably isn’t very cool though.

So here it is again doing its daily job. I think the only thing that would take this out of daily use for me is if they made a non-locking Leatherman with the blade opening from the outside of the handle. Other than pliers and potentially a file, the Farmer X has it all.

sorry need to get better at pics
If you’re likely to stick around then a membership might be worth considering. You see below this post there’s Attached files? That opens your photo library on whatever device you’re using. It’s easy, I can screenshot and drop the pic straight in.

Alternatively, use Imgur or Flickr and see up at the top of the pic there’s a postcard icon? That will allow you to drop a URL pic from a hosting site in. It’s clunky, but it’s how we all used to do it.

I switched my Farmer X Alox out a week or two ago when I picked up this Nextool, just to give it a go in the real world. I'm honestly really impressed with it and I have found the pliers to be really useful, both for doing bits on the Landy but also when I had to pull out about 20 industrial staples from some undercarpet insulation in the airing cupboard after a central heating leak. They feel very solid. Fits perfectly in my pocket organiser, too.

I don't dump, it just stays in situ until it's needed or the clothing is washed or I rarely decide to wear pants of a less cargo-ish nature, wherein my pockets get dumped in a small leather crossbody bag. But the pockets ; penknife, wallet, mini ouch kit, bandana and moleskine notebook with mini koh-i-noor 2mm propelling pencil loaded with 4b, and of course keys where most of my useful bits are.

And what useful bits, why ; P38 tin opener, mini BIC lighter, red LED zipper light, titanium toothpick (needle also in the toothpick case), Victorinox SD classic, whistle, vintage iron cap lifter, and tripod mounting screw driver.

I set my rather large bunch of keys up so sections can be detached if and as needed, like for instance I detach the main bunch when am using the car ignition key.

I carry a large bunch of keys because I am good at losing small things to reckon and I have unwittingly tested this, dropping such a bunch makes such a racket am caused to notice and with ease find, in addition the heft assures me of their presence upon my person without physically checking of which I do anyway , a habit left over from my mob experience.
