I drove over Shap in that snow a couple of weeks ago about ten minutes ahead of the truck that blocked it .
We visit Keswick every year, a wonderful part of the world.

I'm possibly in the far south of Cumbria having moved just over the border from Lancashire nearly 3 years ago. To our post covid bolthole! 15 minutes from kendal. It's a nice part of the world!
I'm in the Barrow area, not got a great reputation but 5 mins walk from home I am on the coast. Just had my 2nd view of the local Kingfisher out on my daily trot around.
