Yrjo Puronvarsi Leuku blade with a damned sharp, convex grind. Chops and splits superbly. with handmade handle of indian rosewood, corian bolster and butt, black fibre spacers, stainless butt plate glued and brass riveted. Again with hand made 4mm thick leather sheath

Bought the whole knife from a friend on the forum, whom made the handle and sheath. This was a mates rate offer, so not normal price at £45.

Really helped me out when I lost a load of mine and a local forest school kit

My best buy this year was only a couple of days ago. It's sort of bushcraft related. The vacuum sealer for £20 at liddells. I've been after one for some while. I'll use it to seal my jerky and fruit leather and dried meals for camping and bushcraft adventures.

I have not wet a line in lake nor river for several summers. Most embarassing.

#2: Kestrel Sitka adze blade. My handle. Makes short work of carving roughouts hogging out waste wood.
#1: Coleman 533 single burner petrol stove. All weather and 10,500 BTU full throttle for 1 hr 45 minutes.
Have not yet tried melting snow yet to get a real camp-sense of performance.

How is the fishing in your local river?

A new line could be a good investment. Mono ages quickly, braid slower.
I replace my mono’s once every two years, braid every three.

It would have to be my Baker tent I guess.

Yet, funny enough, that is exactly how I imagine you whiling away the hours when your not looking after the vines ... watching the bugs play over a sunlit stream, pondering the design of a fly and pulling in the occasional brookie on a light but deadly rig :)

It's close, between my Buffalo Special 6 shirt and a Corinthia Defence 4 sleebag bag I got for a great price from a member of the forum. Both items have made a huge impact on time outdoors and made for a far more comfortable and warm exprience.

Kind of not this year, xmas present last year, but really only used this year. It's a rib knitted, pure wool hat that covers my xl head and ears despite being a one size fits all. One size never fits me normally without feeling tight.

Obviously the knit stretches and thins the wool but that's a plus for me because hats get too warm for me. Hats keep rain off head for short town use. It's the right warmth for me. Fjallraven brand
