Hello All

I have not been to a meet since April, hoping to get a few in over the winter if the dates work out. Are they still happening as it seems to have gone quiet?

Luke

David normally organises the meets. I believe he is currently in Utah on holiday for a couple of weeks. Im not sure when the next one is booked for.

Darkhorse Dave may have some info.

I don't attend very many of the meets as i'm often running events that clash.

I don't know anything about them I'm afraid. I think Bill arranges them from time to time

Last meet it was just me and Dave - as I brought everything except my sleeping bag I stayed for the afternoon and went home, as did Dave!

I know he has been away a lot with job pressures bot internationally and domestically

With little interest I suspect it will stay quiet now but I am sure they will book us in again if we get are able to raise regular interest

I'm still interested, but the reality is that I only ever can make it down two or three times a year, what with family commitments. I'm grateful to Dave and others who have made these meets happen for some years now.

David's work has been extremely busy for a while and with other commitments the BCUK Susses meets at Broadstone have become less of a priority.

Especially as the numbers of people attending has fallen.

I think we should arrange a meet for the end of February and make a real effort to get as many folk to attend as possible and build the group once again.

Other than that I am happy for the group to use my woods near Arundel for a small camping fee.

Completely understand about David and other priorities (and I'm very grateful for all the effort he has put in until now). I also agree it would be good to get things up and running again if at all possible, even if that means a change of venue (and I'd certainly be prepared to pay any fee for Wayne's site).

With regards to my own availability at the end of February (assuming 25th/26th), I'm just waiting on confirmation for another event and can't commit until that comes through ( straight after which I'm off to do some madcap stuff with Wilderness Survival Skills over in Wiltshire - gulp :-o )

Thanks for the info Wayne, I will try and keep the end of February clear so I can attend a meet.

Hello. I am sorry I have not responded earlier but I have been very busy in the run up to Christmas. It is good to hear that people still want to do this so I propose that I book up a weekend ate the end of February and get these going again. How does the weekend of the 25th/26th sound? Let me know and I will get it booked up.
