I understand that before they merged that the individual makers in Mora all used their own marks.
I have always thought that Jonssons were the best of the Mora makers - I have used many in rehandling projects.
When did you get it and was in Sarnau Army Surplus?
I still have a couple of Eriksson laminated blades but have not seen Jonssons in a while.

Not sure what the shop was called, but I got it over a year ago when I was away for the weekend. Thanx for the in john, does this one have a number of classic

Was the shop between Cardigan and Aberystwyth?
Not sur I get your meaning on the last question...

It was pembrokeshire somewhere I can't really remember.
Sorry John I meant to say, what classic is it? ie classic no:1 or no:2
When I look up mora classic there seems to be 3 type, I'm just trying to match mine up.
Are the ones with the makers mark pretty rare then?

If it was North Pembs you were in then you probably took a side trip to Sarnau :) in Ceredigion just a bit North of Cardigan.. the only place I know around here that had them....
It looks like their Classic 1 equvivalent.
As to rare - pretty rare these days :)

Yeah it was north, it was a very small surplus in a little shopping centre type place, I really like this knife more now :)

Dash it - that sounds like Haverford West!
I did not know that they had them!
Next time I am down there I will see if they have any left!
I used to get them for £7...

If you do go there let me know, if they have a few I wouldn't mind getting another, problem is I'm based in surrey and there's no where around here that sells them.

Although it is only an hour away I don't get down that way often....not in the past year at least!
Life takes me more North than South these days....
