thought id share a quick tutorial on how i make my more 'complicated' catapults...
this is just one of many... and i have made naturals from tree forks many times etc... which may be more up your street? (can post tutorial of that if you wish??)
anyhoe... thought id mostly let the pictures do the talking... hope this isnt teaching you to suck eggs.... i just LOVE making them...shooting them and taking game with them.

AT THIS POINT.... I BROKE MY DREMEL :CRY: ..... SO HAD TO CARRY ON WITH THE FILES
Bought a 'dremel type' tool from lidl.... £17 quid.... not as good as a dremel...but works....
So onto finishing the rough work....
Since this is going to be a gift to somebody...and a specific tube shooter.... i like to shape the top of the forks to keep the tubes running true... just me i suppose
Next is sanding....sanding...sanding...and more sanding
Made a few more prejects on the go...
The middle one still needs a pinky hole drilling in the centre hence why the handle is nowhere near done.... waiting on bits coming in the post....
But you get the idea.... try to make each one different.
Finished ...
3 coats of danish oil.... and a couple of layers of beeswax....
heres another from the trio...finished...banded...and posted today to its new home... for a cheistmas present!
ANDDDD.......
MY HOMEMADE BUFFER!
BUFFS THEM UP TO THAT GLOSSY FINISH AFTER A COAT OF BEESWAX!... AND COSTS NOTHING.
