Waterspout

As stated, a waterspout somebody captured in Pensacola Bay yesterday. One day I'll get lucky enough to catch shots like this hopefully.

I wouldnt like to be a fish swimming under one. Seriously though id imagine they are dangerous to maritime vessles and would turn back to a standard twister if they hit land

No they usually don't do a lot of damage as to be honest, they rarely hit anything. But yes, the potential is there.

I think they'd just dump a large volume of water if they hit anything. I've seen quite a few at sea it was always amazing to watch.

I saw one off the coast of Magaluf of all places once

I saw two of the coast of Minorca before a big storm hit the island. The second one made landfall a few hundred metres down the coast from where I was and collapsed into a massive deluge of water when it ran into the cliffs.

My pics of it were rubbish though, unlike that one in the opening thread.

Beautiful. I've been told they're rare on Lake Michigan as well.
