At £5, probably yes! It may have been free but I imagine it's unobtainable now?
Then again, some soul has parted with £356 for an AW WL which I definitely wouldn't pay as I got mine years ago for half that!
At the end of the day, it's worth whatever someone's prepared to pay for it.
Personally I wouldn't mind one of Hardy's pre-1900 fishing tackle catalogues. Free at the time and worth several thousand now, if you can find one!
Speculate to accumulate, that's what I say.
Anyway, can't wait to see what it goes for. Don't tell me one of you isn't sitting on half a dozen of these as we speak?
If I'd have kept everything that's now worth a lot on ebay I'd be up to my neck in clutter.
Actually I am up to my neck in clutter so maybe I should have kept it after all . The stuff I've got now wouldn't fetch half as much as the stuff I've tossed out or given to the charity shop.
Guess if I hang on to it all for another twenty or thirty years I could put it on ebay.
I love when these items come up. If I have time I like to check out what the bidders have bought before and try and work out what kind of person they are. Some of the stuff people buy is unbelieveable
