The plant (as far as possible to tell from the photos) is Cow Parsley - Anthriscus sylvestris. A very common plant. It usually flowers from may till June. I can see you posted this at the end of June/beginning of July, and that you appear to be in a shaded, wooded area. Therefore, the timing seems O.K.

Thank you for the help, in that case I've not managed to find yarrow so far then. So I shall keep up the search, for yarrow and plantain (seen as those two are great for wounds, I want to be very familiar with them).

Cheers
Marcus.

Now is a great time to try and find plantain since the flower heads are so obvious. Learn to spot the flower and you'll find it a lot easier.

If I can give one bit of advice about foraging it would be to stop looking for certain plants find an area and just have a good nose about you will be surprised on the amount of edibles you find with little effort try sitting in a nice feild and seeing how many edible you find In arms reach
