£155 and only two days into the auction.

Mind you, it does have the belt and neck sheath.

Could be another ebay mega sale coming on here :)

There seems to be no reason for prices on ebay. Two Woodlores went for over £500. Another went for 240.

I released the equity in mine last week. £297. Not the best price recently but still a £100 profit in 12 months.

I don't know what anybody else thinks but those sheaths don't look genuine  .
I have the original belt sheath and a Woodlore neck sheath for my WS woodlore and the stitching quality is far better than these pictures suggest. The shape of mine are slightly more square at the end.
Also I have never seen an embossed oak leaf on Woodlore sheaths. I wonder if two genuine Woodlore sheaths will appear in the next few weeks, a must for the collector, don't you know!

I notice that the reserve has not been met at £155! Perhaps I should sell, then may be I will be able to afford a custom knife after all!

My, my........
This is making me give serious consideration to putting mine up for grabs.
Much as I love it, it is just a tool. With three hundred nicker I could buy six quality puukkos and still be left with change!

Correct, the sheaths are not genuine and this SHOULD make a difference to the price.. Dont sell em boys... :togo:

I noticed the chap who bought mine, also went on to buy another one exactly the same. It seems like some people are hoarding them up ready to sell on at a later date.

Like RJP suggests, I have now ordered a nice Woodlander from Ben Orford with the proceeds and put the rest in the bank ready for a hammock in the new year.

Also like Bombadil says.....it's just a tool. If there is equity in it that you can use to for something else, then go for it. :)

I quite agree: I bought mine as a tool, which I intend to use for a very long time and then pass it on to my son. I know that if I sold it for a quick profit I would only regret it later.

Spot on,, like I said earlier, dont sell em :nono: ,, it aint always about the money,.. my favorite buscraft knife I have been offered silly money for, but its been with me and looked after me for yonks,. This prob sounds sad to some but its become part of me and when I go out "bushcrafting it" if it wasnt with me ide feel ide left my best mate at home.., gulp :(

As they say, buying good kit only hurts once (when you pay for it!)

I was out with a gamekeeper friend today and he showed me his Steyr Mannlicher rifle and Zeiss binos. Really top notch kit - arguably the best there is - and despite the big price tag, he never regrets their purchase.

Woodlore knives too are top kit - sure, there are plenty of good alternatives. But if it serves you well for decades, and then becomes an heirloom for your children, its money well spent.

I can sort of justify £250 for the Captain Birds Eye version based on the original selling price and the handcrafted stigma attached but apply this to the micarta "manufactured in production quantities" alternative and it is slightly OTT..
£266 would get you a top end custom HAND MADE bushcraft knife, so are we paying for a stamp...? :bluThinki
