I am the 3rd to try this and dosn't fit me either sadly. I'd say it was more of a size L than XL. also snug round the forearms for me (climber).
I would suggest it would fit a slimmer more athletic build best. A previous owner mentioned there wasn't much room if you have a tummy.

22" cuff to pit
21" pit to pit (42"ish chest un-stretched)
28" zip length
label says 44-48"chest
