I made this for a guy on another forum.
Copy of a woodlore sheath but in slightly thicker leather and with a fire steel holder.

Thanks mojo ,

i don't make them to make money it's really just to get experience.
I don't have a lot a free time at the moment and i find that leather work is very relaxing and totally clears my mind of real work.
Still have a lot to learn.

Very nice sheath RB however much it cost ;)

Buckshot your braiding is looking great, that shoulder strap and the multi colour effect are both brilliant.

Thanks Buckshot,
Just wondering what it's like to carry on a belt ?
I imagine it's a little restrictive as it can't move out of the way when you sit down.

i've got one of those sheaths and it's a pain to wear on the belt. on the plus side the knife is very secure as the belt feeds over the sheath.
i also wear mine on a baldric, as i find it more convenient and comfortable when wearing a rucksack

Yeah I'm sure it is RB. I use the other sheath when I want to carry it on my belt.
Here's a picture of the baldric in action...

You can just see the upper tassle tucked under the belt to stop the sheath falling forward when I bend over.

Very clever ,i think i could get on very well with that sort of set up.
I have tried neck sheath's before and they always seem to be in my way but that looks very good.

Wow I'm liking the braiding.

And I'm liking the sheath too. What kind of leather does one use when making a sheath like that (ignoring colour)?
