Hello from California, this is my first post upon receiving my new Woodlore knife! Well worth the wait, and I look forward to some adventures in the wilds of Colorado State this summer. My knife has the usual sheath with firesteel holder and slot; I have also laid in a nice lenght of paracord. What I need help with is exactly how to set it up for neck or baldric carry. I think I have the basic idea- but a little fuzzy on the detail. I do remember seeing some nice picture examples this past year on the forum ( I had to do something to pass the time) but now that I need them I can't seem to relocate them. Any help is much appreciated!

Hello

Don't skimp on the length of cord and experiment with the positioning of the double fishermans knots so that when the sheath is pulled tight under your arm they don't position themselves under rucksack straps etc.

Also, ensure that the final wrap of cord nearest the handle of the knife emerges from the side furthest from your body, this will be different depending on which arm you keep your sheath under. The sheath pictured has been set up for carry under my left arm and the cord 'pushes' the knife handle into my side rather than out from my body.

Look here for pictures and more detailed instructions.

I have left mine a little long, so that I can prusik the lower end around my belt or belt loop. This lets me maintain it in my preferred position of across the soft bits (belly).

Hi

Here's how I put mine together...

Hope this makes sense :)

Have you got a picture of you wearing this?

Thanks
