Are the "hook" knives for carving spoons and such, dedicated right or left handed ?. I'm left handed, and would like to get one, where would be a good place to purchase one ?.

Thanks, Rob

Eceni county.
IMO it depends on your tecnique.
Are you right handed?Do you carve towards yourself or away. This will be crucial in your choice of hook knife.

I was always told never cut towards yourself. So i use a RIGHT handed hook knife(im a lefty)and carve away from myself(i also use my right thumb for added push)Vice-versa for Righty's.:)
