Wolverine

I was lucky to see new wolverine tracks couple of weeks ago.

Nice. Shame you didn't get to see the little critter itself. Snow is so good for seeing whats hanging about.

I do not mind tracks but would not like to meet Mr Wolverine eye to eye.

I was close on that day. But weather was too good for him, so hard snow that you can walk on it. I guess that mr W did take a good run when he did have noticed me.

Awesome, Juha! What did you see in the tracks to know it was Wolverine?

Size, it did also have five toes. Wolverine also makes its track somehow like jumping You can see also that scratch on snow, it is made by long fur which wolverine has on its legs.

Do you have the animal called Mårdhund in Swedish in your area?
Do not know the english name.

Yes we do have. Actually I did see one of those only two days ago, almost on my backyard. Furry and scary, almost like my dog
Have to admit that I did have to use google translator to check that mårdhund, it is raccoon dog in english, finnish it is called supikoira.
