wolfs in my woods

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
i would love to see wolfs reintroduced to the British country side , it would certainly keep us on our toes when camping out and might stop some of the Pratt's who mess up the woods from going out and ruining our country side.

Would also do us good to be reminded of our rightful place in the hierachy of the animals...

Im sorry, but this is not a true wolf, it is a Dog breed to look like a wolf. Yes a Dog. Not many people know that, a dog is the most Diverse animal on this planet of ours. Dont believe me look around, Did you see that jack russall, how about the yorkshire terrier, what about that king charles spanial playing with that Great dane, German shaperd, golden or black lab or irish wolfhound, so many shapes and sizes, BUT ITS STILL A DOG, Leave a pack of Dogs, to wonder around the country side, they will behave like a pack of wolfs. As for reintorduction of wolfs into the wild here in briton, it will never happen unless you have a person picking up after them, yes you know what I mean and you know who you are, dont get me wrong, I believe you should pick up after your pet, if it has messed, in the street or park, where our kids are most likely to play, but on a mountain side, or in a remote woodland, why, who are you to say that it is not helping with ecosystem it is after all only natrual. Lets face it how many of you see farmer picking up after his sheep or cow. But hay lovely looking DOG.

Farley Mowat's "Never Cry Wolf" is a great book. So is "People of the Deer", Ring of Bright Water" etc...

Farley Mowat

This is a picture of an animal that does not have a self-esteem problem — humans, take note! This is an intelligent being that knows itself and what it needs and wants, yet possesses a natural dignity.

If you look deep into its eyes you might even detect a quiet amusement, presumably at how humans (or at least their leaders) are disgracing themselves in the sight of the Great Spirit by their ignorant, short-sighted, selfish and self-destructive trashing of the natural world, home to all life on Earth.

In any case, this is not the gaze of a being who feels itself in any way inferior to humans.
(Serendipity).

Sometimes I feel ashamed to be human.
Scott.

Great post Cariboo, one need only compare your picture to the first one in this thread to realise why this sort of stunt is abhorrent to most right-thinking people.
Will.
