Witnessed a single gull mobbing a large buzzard as we were walking the dog today. It eventually gave up but at no point was the buzzard near a nest of any sort - it was an aerial battle!

Great photo opportunities only arise when you haven't brought your camera.

See that all the time over here, also see them mocking Sparrowhawks, not just the Gulls, but Rooks, Jackdaws & Crows as well

I used to use birds of prey decoys for shooting corvids and gulls. They go nuts over them.

That's exactly why I chopped my huge Nikon setup for a little Panasonic 4:3 setup.

It fits in my pockets and that means I carry it everywhere.

Would have been nice to see what you saw.

I've seen swifts and House Martens mob buzzards

The most impressive though was corvids mobbing an Bald Eagle...so much so that they brought it down!

Its was not a happy eagle

Always amazing to watch

On a side note - this crow mobbed a buzzard so close, he actually hit him with a wing!

You sure that's a crow Red? Positions of wings and it's general size make that look much more raven-like than crow-like to me.

May well be Adze ..it happened fast and I never really thought about it . It was a few years ago in Hampshire...they were there then I think...
