Afternoon folks,

Just set up my hammock in the garden with the whoopie slings I got from Ukhammocks.

Am I being paranoid about the size of them, and how do folks get on with them?

Weight wise, I think they are fantastic, but should I go outside and stop the kids swinging and playing on the hammock! lol!

The hammock is a DD Frontline.

How do folks set theirs up with whoopies?

Thanks

Drew

Fixed loop larks headed onto my drip ring and then my BB is larks headed onto the other side of the ring.

They're solid mate, been using mine for around 12 months and they ain't going nowhere :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I feel enlightened already!

So the end of the Hammock is bunched up and the cord larksfooted around, ie no cords through the end of the hammock

Thanks

Drew

The BB is a different beast, you need to thread the whoopie through the channel. If you dont, it will rip the bug net and probably destroy the zip. Just thread the fixed spliced loop through the channel, pass the adjustable end through the fixed loop and Bob's your auntie.

What Teepee said..

I've just done the same to my Frontline and it works great. Once you've loaded it the first time, the bunched ends will squeeze up nice and tight. I love the Whoopies, they make adjusting the hammock nice and easy for a noob like me.

Yeah, Blackbirds are whipped. I wasn't too clear, I should have said; "The BB is a different beast, you need to thread the whoopie through the channel of the DD"

not sure what you mean by "channel" - my blackbird doesn't have one - just a bunch of material at the end with the supension loops larks-headed around it?

Yeah no channel on the BB Pete, it's folded back and then bunched up. Brandon ties a fine black cord around the bundle to hold it in place, the SRL loop pops through and then the suspension is threaded through and then larks headed around.

Not sure if you can tell on here but you can just see the black cord under the grey amsteel, the white loop is the SRL ...

EDIT:

Too slow, the man knows the difference already :)

Rich mate, you need to hang more. You still have some colour left on your amsteel :p
