Who needs flowers?

The yellow willow (salix alba vitellina?) we planted last year (from cuttings we scrounged at a willow weaving course) only grew about 4 feet (compared to the osier which grew about 14') so I harvested it all to let the stools grow bigger this year. Thought they'd look quite elegant in the house so bunged them in a vase and presented them to my lovely wife, who didn't get any cut flowers this year.

A week later, they've all sprouted:

Personally, I think they look great and we can plant them back in the garden if we wish. :D

I think Willows are beautiful :D If you plant WitchHazel (Hamamelis molis) and cut a branch of that at the same time, they'll fill the room with a gentle scent too :D

I think this will be a regular thing. They look lovely in the sunshine this morning
