Another snow day for the schools here, 4 inches now laying and it's still falling on and off

Met office are predicting snow for central belt Scotland for Friday.

It's early here, only about a cm so far but it's falling in heavy flurries.

No snow, but some 'fluffy sleet' - frozen overnight, saw one car having trouble up a hill when out on my morning dog walk / skate

bout an inch or so around my way along with black ice and lots of wheel spin marks but some nice snow drifts on the hills near me

Was shooting on Thursday at an old WWII bomber station. Beautiful bright skies and just the occasional snowflake in the air.

I was REALLY glad of having a pair of Barbour shooting gloves (the neoprene sort where you can pull the trigger finger back). My buddy was suffering till I found him a spare pair of gloves from the car.

Just shows how right the old saying about "there's no such thing as bad weather - just inappropriate clothing" is

They are good aren't they Red, have a pair and also treated myself to a pair of their leather ones with the sheepskin patch inside on the back of their hands. Really nice, I find I have good dexterity in them and they look smart if I ever have the need to dress up in the cold.
