what sort of cord do you guys use for whippings and seizings? i had a roll of some polyester style stuff but i've run out so i'm looking for some new stuff. was making a dog lead using the cobra stitch last night and realised i'd need to use a seizing to make the loop for my hand

cheers

Yep, I use the pre-waxed twine too. I think the stuff I have comes from Marlow Ropes and is sold wound onto small plastic reels (actually the small reel-to-reel tape recorder reels - remember them?). Like wise, I have several sizes/colours.

I got a roll of milsurp flax twine that's real nice for whipping and fancywork. 3-lay, about 1.5mm, consistent, strong and not very hairy. It had a NSN but I threw away the packaging.
