Hello everyone, I apologise for my ignorance however I am just starting out with bushcraft. My question is about where you can practice your techniques, ie can you just turn up a wooded area in the UK and setup camp or are there restrictions (I'm guessing there is) and where can I find out what they are and where I am aloud to camp.

The law is different in Scotland where you now have the right to wild camp as long as you do it responsibly. You are also allowed a small fire. Check out the Scottish Outdoor Access Code (SOAC) on the Scottish Natural Heritage website www.snh.org.uk
